Everyone should have a list of “go-to” restaurants in their repertoire they should frequent. A solid staple that deserves to be on everyone’s list is the B&B Steakhouse in Fort Worth (they have a Houston location as well).

Located in the heart of Fort Worth in “The Shops at Clearfork” B&B is an upscale, traditional steakhouse that specializes in both Texas and Japanese Wagyu USDA prime beef that has been aged on site for either 28 or 55 days and hand cut & weighed in the attached B&B Butcher shop. We’ll come back to that. B&B offers an amazing and extensive menu that includes everything from caviar service, breakfasts (try their eggs benedict menus), burgers, sandwiches and of course their world class steaks.

If you’re looking for a place to host an amazing dinner party (for a group of 8-16) then I would recommend what we tried on our last visit and register for their “Meat Our Meat” dinner. Reserve an exclusive meat tasting and wine pairing in The Butcher Shop. Curated by B&B’s Executive Chef, guests have the rare opportunity to taste and compare the flavor components of exclusive cellar cuts while learning about the meat and the dry-aging process. Come hungry for this one though as this is a 12 course meal.

B&B is now one of only 38 restaurants in the country certified by the Kobe Beef Association in Japan offering 100% authentic, A5 certified Kobe beef from 100% Tajima cattle. Their Houston location is another of those locations as well.

In addition to the steakhouse, B&B also offers old fashioned neighborhood style delicatessen that offers everything from salads and sandwich platters to select butcher’s cuts of meat. Our personal favorites are the brisket ravioli, the French Dip sandwich, and a bagel and lox that will make you swear you’re in a New York City bodega.
