They say “all good things must end”, in this case it is the much loved Audi TT. But not before one final
special edition. Sadder still, not only is the TT taking its final bow, but the R8 supercar is also joining the farewell party. The company has introduced a swan song in the form of the Audi TT Roadster Final Edition, and it’s a major head-turner.
The Audi TT Roadster Final Edition pays homage to its roots with the Audi Exclusive Goodwood Green Pearl paint, a nod to the first-generation TT, which once offered this color as an option. In a departure from tradition, the roof is now adorned in a subtle shade of gray, harmonizing beautifully with the matte gray bumpers and side profile accents. This final iteration of the TT is based on the S Line trim, a first for the third-generation TT, and it proudly boasts 20-inch wheels as standard.
Audi has opted for a minimalist approach by eliminating most of the S Line badges both inside and outside, choosing instead to embrace carbon fiber accents over the standard brushed aluminum. The seats are wrapped in exquisite Palomino Brown leather, which Audi describes as a “modern interpretation” of the original TT’s baseball-style seating. While the inspiration is acknowledged, the parallels may not be immediately apparent.
Under the hood, the TT Roadster Final Edition packs a base turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, delivering 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. This powerhouse propels the TT from 0 to 60 mph in a brisk 5.5 seconds, with the added bonus of standard all-wheel drive and magnetic ride control, which drops the ride height by 0.3 inches – an attribute inherited from the S Line trim.
For enthusiasts who wish to secure one of the last TT models, time is of the essence. This exclusive variant is limited to just 50 units in the United States, and it comes with a price tag of $68,895, including the $1,095 destination fee. Meanwhile, fans in other markets, such as the UK, Japan, and Spain, can explore their own unique special-edition TT models. The Audi TT Final Edition Roadster is a bittersweet reminder that even legends must eventually bid adieu, and it does so in style.
